We finally had the opportunity to take a family vacation! We got an amazing deal for a hotel and Disney passes, and a free trip to Seaworld, so we jumped at the chance last minute...as in we booked everything Tuesday and left Wednesday! It's a crazy experience packing for a baby for the first time! I'm pretty sure we packed wayyy too much, but better safe than sorry! We never ran out of anything, so, in my book, that's mission accomplished! The ride down went smoothly, and Kembree slept almost the entire way with no problems. The hotel was nice and the bed was comfortable, so we got some sleep before our adventure began!
The first day we went to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. They were having a food and wine festival at Epcot's World Showcase, so Dan got to try some interesting native cuisine from countries like Singapore, Morocco, South Africa, and even the United States (bison chili). I tasted a few things, and enjoyed the meatballs from Italy! We rode some of the rides (the ones Kembree was allowed on), enjoyed the sights and exhibits, and then moved on to Disney's Hollywood Studios. There, we went on some interesting tour style rides that featured famous movies from the past and present. Dan went on the Tower of Terror ride while Kembree and I waited comfortably with our feet on the ground :) It rained throughout the day, but it was still a fun experience. We went back to the hotel after eating some delicious food from Giordano's Italian Restaurant, and snuggled into bed...we were exhausted!
I was so excited for Dan to get to see all the wonderful things that Seaworld has to offer, we started the day off with the dolphin show. The acrobatics are awesome, and the dolphins do such amazing tricks. After that we went to the Clyde & Seymour show, which features sea lions, an otter, and an enormous walrus! The show is hilarious, especially the pirate mime in the beginning...if you ever get the chance to go, I HIGHLY recommend it! We also went and saw the killer whale show, as well as a Cirque du Soleil type show. After that we ate some lunch and then proceeded to my favorite part of Seaworld...THE DOLPHIN FEEDING!!! It is such an amazing experience to be in such close contact with a wild animal, let alone to feed it, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We finished up the day with some animal exhibits such as penguins and sharks, and with Dan riding the roller coasters in the park (if you notice the trend, I avoid the roller coasters haha). Overall, it was our favorite day of the vacation and we went to bed happy and ready for Animal Kingdom in the morning!
Our final day was spent at Disney's Animal Kingdom. We were excited to see some animals and ride some rides, but we hadn't prepared ourselves for the chilly weather!! We bundled up in our coats and sweatshirts and started out! We saw some amazing animals and rode some great rides like the Safari and Dinosaur, a simulator ride. Dan braved the Expedition Everest roller coaster, and we took jungle treks throughout the park. We also got the chance to get some pictures with some of the Disney characters! We had a great time, but the day was cut a little short by a runny nose and a slight cough that we had to get checked out. Kembree was just fine, but it was better to be safe than sorry. We stayed one more night in Orlando, and then started the journey home. We had such a wonderful time and were sad to see the vacation end. Kembree was as sweet and well-behaved as could ever be hoped for, and we can't wait to do it again soon!
